Candidates line up to be NFL draft's top pick
The NFL draft is on April 26, and your guess for who will be the top pick is as good as ours. There are six candidates identified (Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long, Arkansas running back Darren McFadden, Virginia defensive end Chris Long, LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, Southern California defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis and Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan).
Miami holds the top pick, but new Dolphins boss Bill Parcells has given no indications whom he's targeting. The draft prospects are strutting their stuff at the NFL scouting combine this week in Indianapolis.
It's a free-for-all for reporters at the combine with team officials and players parading through the halls available for media sessions. Among the most interesting things we learned Thursday? Some non-manly viewing habits for a couple of the prospects.
-- Hampton defensive end Marcus Dixon: He watches the Lifetime network.
-- Idaho linebacker David Vobora: His favorite chick flick is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
