The Jaguars (3-5) look to avoid the dubious distinction of losing to winless teams in consecutive weeks when they travel to Ford Field to face the Lions (0-8). Storylines include Matt Jones' pending suspension and the possibility of Daunte Culpepper's first start with Detroit. All you need to know about this game is 11 players have a zero star rating.
Five-star Players
Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions. Despite revolving-door QBs, Johnson is the second leading scorer among WRs in SN Leagues (104.9). Johnson ranks second in the league in TDs (6) and fifth in yards (682). The thought of Daunte Culpepper heaving Johnson is enticing, but could take time to develop. Johnson could take a hit this week while he works out the timing with Culpepper (or Drew Stanton), but you can't sit a receiver who has scored in four straight games.
Three-star Players
David Garrard, QB, Jaguars. Garrard has a great matchup against the Lions, but he might go in without his favorite target. Matt Jones could be suspended by the league office as early as Wednesday. Still, the Lions haven't put a fight over the last five weeks. Quarterbacks are averaging 278 yards 7 TDs and 2 INTs over the past five weeks. Garrard should get plenty of yardage, but expecting more than 2 passing TDs is pushing it.
