Several Jaguars to Participate in Golf Shootout at King and Bear on Tuesday

With the Players Championship this week, several members of the Jacksonville Jaguars will get in on the action Tuesday at The King and Bear in World Golf Village in an event to benefit The St. Johns County Council on Aging.

The event begins at 2:00 p.m. and is a shootout with one player eliminated after each hole. Jaguars players scheduled to participate include Rashean Mathis, Josh Scobee, Drayton Florence, Adam Podlesh, Cleo Lemon, Derek Landri, Joe Zelenka and Brad Meester. Former Jaguars punter Bryan Barker and former Gator and NFL quarterback Shane Matthews will also participate.

The public is invited to attend the golf outing. Fans should park at the Laterra Links (100 Laterra Links Circle) and take a trolley to the King and Bear.

The St. Johns County Council on Aging is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the elders in the community. There are approximately 30,000 adults over the age of 60 currently residing in St. Johns County. The organization offers a variety of on-site and outreach services.
