Bad news keeps piling up for the Jaguars.
After leaving early in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Jaguars right tackle Eben Britton is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
Britton is scheduled to have an MRI on his shoulder on Monday according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union. The Jaguars fear that he suffered a torn labrum which would require surgery to repair.
Britton is in his second season with the Jaguars after being selected in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Arizona. Britton was replaced by veteran tackle Jordan Black on Sunday.
If/when Britton is placed on the injured reserve list, expect the Jaguars front office to add another offensive lineman in order to maintain depth at that position for the rest of the season.
